Our School Community

One of the things that makes St Paul’s so special is our strong and welcoming community. We value the partnership between school, families and parish, knowing that when we work together, our children flourish both in their learning and in their wellbeing.

Two key groups play an important role in building and strengthening this partnership:

  • The School Advisory Council, which provides parent voice and community perspective to support decision-making and ensure student outcomes remain at the centre.
  • The Parents and Friends Association (P&F), who create meaningful connections among families through community events and also raise vital funds to support school projects and improvements.

Together, these groups reflect the spirit of St Paul’s, where relationships, collaboration and shared purpose make our community truly unique.

School Advisory Council

At St Paul’s, our School Advisory Council is a group of parents, parish and school representatives who work together with the Principal to support our school. The Council provides a space for parent voice and community perspective, always keeping student wellbeing and learning at the heart of what we do.

The Council helps by:

  • Supporting our school’s vision, mission and Catholic identity
  • Offering advice on policies and school improvement
  • Providing input on enrolments, budgets and planning
  • Assisting with big projects, like facilities and playgrounds
  • Strengthening the partnership between school, families and parish

It’s one of the many ways we work together as a community to ensure St Paul’s continues to be a place where every child can thrive.

Parent and Friends Association

At St Paul’s, our community is at the heart of everything we do and the Parents and Friends Committee (P&F) plays a big role in making that possible. The P&F helps create opportunities for families to come together, whether it’s celebrating special days, enjoying social events or simply connecting with others across different year levels. These gatherings not only build friendships but also strengthen the sense of belonging that makes St Paul’s unique.

Beyond community events, the P&F make a significant contribution through their fundraising efforts. Their support has already provided our school with a brand new senior playground, with plans underway to fund the junior playground next. Their commitment has a direct and lasting impact on our students’ experiences.

We also have Class Representatives in each year level who keep families informed and involved, helping to ensure that communication between home and school is strong and supportive. Together, our P&F and Class Reps enrich the life of our school, showing just how special the St Paul’s community really is
